I thought fall in NC was beautiful. This past Saturday Blake & I drove up into the park a ways and went on a light hike. Of course I brought my camera with me…and I must say, fall in the TN mountains gives fall in NC a run for its money. The weather was awesome, the trail wasn’t that crowded, and we had a great time.

Okay, it’s high time I post something on here. Since this is mainly going to be a photography page, I figure my first post should include a picture. So…
This is a picture of my sister Leah and her horse, Spice. A few months ago when my family came back from a week long vacation they came back to the sad reality that Spice had passed away the morning they were due to return. He was my sister’s first real “pet” and I think it is safe to say they loved each other very much. When my family arrived at home they realized that Spice had chosen a spot as close to Leah’s bedroom window as he could to lay down and take his last breaths.
Leah celebrated her this past week, so for her birthday gift I hauled out my old (very large!) portable hard drive and dug through the thousands of photos on it, thinking I would find and re print a photo we liked of her and Spice and frame it for a gift. Instead I found this picture, which for some reason I had passed over the first time around. I felt this perfectly shows the love she and Spice had for each other.
